Boston FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Wellings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cody Beckham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Syd Cross hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Moleicester City's Cody Beckham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Moleicester City from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lenny Wellings got free with Cody Beckham in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Nath Perkins elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boston FC's goalkeeper Brett Titmus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bateman in the 34th minute of play forced Boston FC's goalkeeper Brett Titmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Syd Cross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Titmus having to interfere. Ian Stonehouse charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Stonehouse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Moleicester City's goalkeeper Cody Beckham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Moleicester City's Ben Notley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half Moleicester City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dane Bond stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Boston FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gez Longley in the 64th minute. Brett Titmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nath Perkins in the 66th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Sebastien McMahon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boston FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moleicester City the free kick. Sebastien McMahon hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Boston FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moleicester City the free kick. Cody Beckham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Moleicester City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
