Rex Cryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Marlon Case tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rex Cryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Cryan in the 12th minute of play forced Hindley AFC's goalkeeper Marlon Case to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Allan Falkingham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Phil Brewer. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Hindley AFC's Marlon Case played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Cryan in the 21st minute of play. Malcolm Dodgson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marlon Case made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rex Cryan in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Hindley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Cryan came free, but Marlon Case reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Hayle's goalkeeper Phil Brewer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Tyrell. In the 41st minute, Rex Cryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Tyrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Malcolm Dodgson to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malcolm Dodgson in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marlon Case prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hayle's Phil Brewer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Falkingham in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Hindley AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Callum Joy hit a great ball. Alfred Tyrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Brewer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Marlon Case took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Dodgson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hindley AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Callum Joy hit a great ball. Rex Cryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match Ralph Blower sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marlon Case skillfully saved the ball. If Malcolm Dodgson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hindley AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
