In the 2nd minute, Vern Lynch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Horsell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Nicoll in the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Samuel Medlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Horsell was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Antony Meechan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simeon Wheeler in the 12th minute of play. In the 18th minute Gary Nicoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Horsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clacton United's Antony Meechan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Clacton United from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Clacton United booed when Dunstable City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Travis Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Dunstable City's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Medlin came free, but Richard Horsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simeon Wheeler in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antony Meechan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute of the match Dunstable City got a corner. Clacton United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felix Corrigan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Dunstable City's Dean Barfield got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Samuel Medlin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Horsell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Dunstable City's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Medlin came free, but Richard Horsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antony Meechan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The supporters of Dunstable City booed when Clacton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Cârstea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gary Nicoll to make the kick off. In the 76th minute, Samuel Medlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Horsell was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gary Nicoll got free with Richard Horsell in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Horsell was a little too slow when Samuel Medlin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-3. If Gary Nicoll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Medlin struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Richard Horsell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clacton United. Richard Horsell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Medlin's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Kristian Church received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Richard Horsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Horsell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Medlin in the 92nd minute of play. Richard Horsell made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gary Nicoll sent off a good shot on target. Dunstable City's Aaron Bennett has a good shot, but didn't show it this time.
