Freddy Ansell's late challenge caught a Great Bookham United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Ansell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Great Bookham United booed when Spaxton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Ansell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Grant Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Great Bookham United's Rio Illingworth got a free kick in the 11th minute. Phil McNiven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnnie Sheene in the 13th minute. Quentin Rooney's late challenge caught a Spaxton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentin Rooney helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Great Bookham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Rooney to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Buster Hales in the 16th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Phil McNiven's left hand side. In the 21st minute, Spaxton's Freddy Ansell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Great Bookham United's Quentin Rooney got a free kick in the 25th minute. Tris Pearch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ty Bray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil McNiven read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Johnnie Sheene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil McNiven having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Alfred Gilroy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Bookham United and the Spaxton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfred Gilroy kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Spaxton's John-Paul Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Dickner in the 35th minute of play. Phil McNiven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Bray in the 38th minute of the match. Ty Bray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Phil McNiven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Phil McNiven managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Spaxton's Johnnie Sheene fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. John-Paul Blake didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Owen Wallbank went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grant Dickner made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Spaxton's Freddy Ansell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phil McNiven made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Spaxton's John-Paul Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Dickner in the 58th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Johnnie Sheene who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Great Bookham United's Phil McNiven was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Owen Wallbank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnnie Sheene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Phil McNiven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Spaxton booed when Great Bookham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Gilroy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnnie Sheene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil McNiven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Bray in the 73rd minute of the match. Owen Wallbank could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but John-Paul Blake made a huge save. Phil McNiven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ty Bray's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Johnnie Sheene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Johnnie Sheene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ty Bray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phil McNiven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ty Bray's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
