Marlon Robinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shane Seagrave read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Rio Shaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marlon Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Marlon Robinson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swaffham AFC's Shane Seagrave was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Wimbledon's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Shaw came free, but Tristan Cordingley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Casey Swain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swaffham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Casey Swain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loyd Slater stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shane Seagrave. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Swaffham AFC's Matt Atkins got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Robbie Frost came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Wimbledon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie Frost couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Shane Seagrave made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbie Frost in the 93rd minute. Robbie Frost recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Robbie Frost's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shane Seagrave was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Wimbledon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
