Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Blair Medley kicked off to start the match. Faversham City's Romeo Chappell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dion Clough in the 6th minute of play. If Kristopher McDermot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blair Medley in the 9th minute of the match. Faversham City's Romeo Chappell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher McDermot in the 12th minute of play. In the last second Jeff Holland throw himself and got hold of the ball when Blair Medley in the 19thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Carl Clegg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jeff Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blair Medley in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Wroughton City's Jeff Holland got control of the ball when Sammy Legzdins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wroughton City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Blair Medley 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The supporters of Faversham City booed when Wroughton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Coates didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Faversham City's Nick Oates tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Carl Clegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Faversham City's Nick Oates broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Clegg in the 40th minute of play forced Faversham City's goalkeeper Romeo Chappell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Carl Clegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Chappell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wroughton City's Dion Clough got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute of the match Bob Salt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Chappell skillfully saved the ball. Dion Clough struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Romeo Chappell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wroughton City.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristopher McDermot to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeff Holland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Legzdins, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Blair Medley struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jeff Holland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Faversham City. Carl Clegg's late challenge caught a Faversham City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Clegg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wroughton City's Carl Clegg got a free kick in the 54th minute. Wroughton City's Jeff Holland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Legzdins in the 55th minute of play. Kristopher McDermot was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Sammy Legzdins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wroughton City's Carl Clegg got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Carl Clegg off the ground. In the 59th minute, Carl Clegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Wroughton City's Oscar Hunt got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Sammy Legzdins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Faversham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Faversham City's Blair Medley got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Vinnie Kessler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wroughton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinnie Kessler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Chappell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 minutes of play, Wroughton City's Dion Clough made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Chappell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sammy Legzdins might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeff Holland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sammy Legzdins ran back to his position shaking his head. Faversham City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wroughton City for a fine match.
