Fred Denham was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ethan Howarth showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 34 minute of play. Denzil Furlong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Ring in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Robert Ring cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Denzil Furlong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Oliver in the 43rd minute of play forced Whitchurch's goalkeeper Denzil Furlong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Whitchurch's Denzil Furlong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Westerby in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ethan Howarth made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Nicholas Gill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Connor Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denzil Furlong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Ring, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Walker Wanderers's Connor Oliver nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denzil Furlong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Denzil Furlong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Ring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Ring took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denzil Furlong. Denzil Furlong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Denzil Furlong was a little too slow when Robert Ring got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-5. Denzil Furlong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ring in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 minutes Whitchurch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicholas Gill who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Walker Wanderers's corner Mike Alcock fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denzil Furlong quite easily take care of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Graham Norton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Denham. Walker Wanderers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Graham Norton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5.
