Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Mike Izzard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Den Fairs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Eglington having to interfere. A collision led to Dover FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Eddy Hooker hit a great ball. If Mike Izzard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Izzard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guy Eglington came out and tried to block the shot, but Mike Izzard slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Westerby in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barney Wring saved Bristol Black Horse FC from getting behind. Barney Wring stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Westerby's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Mike Izzard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol Black Horse FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Izzard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Les Spacey hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Mike Izzard took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Guy Eglington to make any attempt to save it. Mick Weedon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Guy Eglington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mick Weedon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Dover FC's goalkeeper Guy Eglington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Den Fairs. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 52 minutes, Mick Weedon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol Black Horse FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mick Weedon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mick Weedon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Leroy Blair mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dover FC and the Bristol Black Horse FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 59 minutes into the match, Mike Izzard notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Dover FC's Guy Eglington. Guy Eglington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alex Westerby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Barney Wring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Jools Redwood-Turner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barney Wring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Prendergast, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mick Weedon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mick Weedon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bristol Black Horse FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mick Weedon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guy Eglington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alex Westerby came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Dover FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Westerby couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Dover FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Izzard came free, but Guy Eglington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Mike Izzard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
