Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jack Pope started the match with the kick off. Sly Sparkes hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Gez Child came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Honiton AFC's Orson Orchard. But to his dismay, Orson Orchard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Freddy Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rueben Elliott in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Clarke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charlie Busby charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Busby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Charlie Busby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes, Kingstanding City's Zak Bamford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ben Clarke came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kingstanding City reached it. After 27 minutes, Dean Whiteley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kingstanding City and the Honiton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Jack Pope reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gez Child. The goal made the score 2-0. Ben Clarke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rueben Elliott, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Malcolm Chambers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rueben Elliott was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers CJ Wilkins in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gez Child saved Kingstanding City from getting behind. Ben Clarke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rueben Elliott in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Honiton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Busby to maneuver through the defense. When Jack Pope came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Honiton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Pope couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Rueben Elliott made a precise shot to the right of Ben Clarke. Honiton AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Kingstanding City's Gez Child played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orson Orchard in the 77th minute of play. Ben Clarke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rueben Elliott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Honiton AFC's Ben Clarke got control of the ball when Malcolm Chambers tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Honiton AFC's goalkeeper Ben Clarke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malcolm Chambers. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Orson Orchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honiton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orson Orchard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gez Child breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honiton AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kingstanding City for a fine match.
