Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Penge's Tristram Barat started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Apsden in the 14th minute of play forced Penge's goalkeeper Reg Whitman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Chattenden Challengers got a freekick which was hit by Max Martindale. Nicholas Brayson struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Charles Maclean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penge. A collision led to Penge getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. James Gobey hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Sol Draper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Chattenden Challengers's Wes Locking in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Penge's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristram Barat in the 33rd minute of play forced Chattenden Challengers's goalkeeper Charles Maclean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sol Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Reg Whitman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sol Draper took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reg Whitman. Reg Whitman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Penge's Tristram Barat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Maclean. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sol Draper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wes Locking's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reg Whitman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Reg Whitman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wes Locking in the 55th minute. Max Martindale lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chattenden Challengers! Penge's Tristram Barat got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tristram Barat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Charles Maclean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Tristram Barat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chattenden Challengers's Charles Maclean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wes Locking sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, Penge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Louis to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Penge's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wes Locking fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marty Snowden hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Tristram Barat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Maclean having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Penge had won after a very even match.
