Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tristram Barat started the match with the kick off. Charles Maclean came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Penge's James Gobey. But to his dismay, James Gobey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Chattenden Challengers's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Brayson came free, but Charles Maclean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reg Whitman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sol Draper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Sol Draper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Sol Draper lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Reg Whitman. Reg Whitman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sol Draper in the 25th minute of play. Wes Locking sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reg Whitman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sol Draper showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chattenden Challengers's goalkeeper Charles Maclean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Wes Locking ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reg Whitman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nicholas Brayson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penge's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Brayson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Maclean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Penge's goalkeeper Reg Whitman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Locking. 47 minutes in the game, Sol Draper fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reg Whitman having to interfere.

51 minutes into the game, one of Chattenden Challengers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sol Draper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Penge getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Teddy Warrender hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Penge's Tristram Barat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Charles Maclean. Charles Maclean yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. In the 74th minute Richie Apsden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reg Whitman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Gobey kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Charles Maclean made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Larry Naisbitt sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sol Draper in the 91st minute of play forced Penge's goalkeeper Reg Whitman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Snowden kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Dean Ploughman's late challenge caught a Penge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Ploughman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chattenden Challengers getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dean Ploughman hit a great ball.
