An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Horsey in the 9th minute of play forced team fortnite's goalkeeper Chip Hoult to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vernon Chivers kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to team fortnite getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Harvey Lundy hit a great ball. Ivan Pearson's late challenge caught a team fortnite's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Pearson helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Pearson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Len Lampard charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Len Lampard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, one of team fortnite:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for team fortnite. The referee gave Lee United a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ritchie Horsey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of team fortnite's Chip Hoult. 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Ritchie Horsey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Chip Hoult was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute, Rueben Summerfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gav Cookson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Chip Hoult tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The team fortnite players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lee United were winning 0-2.

Rueben Summerfield took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruce Fayle. Lee United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ray Shaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Jonathan Butcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Fayle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Gav Cookson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Chip Hoult made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ray Shaw in the 68th minute. Ritchie Horsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Chip Hoult came out and tried to block the shot, but Ritchie Horsey slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 69th minute. Ray Shaw blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chip Hoult having to make a save. Lee United's Bruce Fayle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Bishop in the 83rd minute of play. Ivan Pearson kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Chip Hoult made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ray Shaw sent off a good shot on target.
