Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Groom kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Stockport FC were awarded a corner. Frank Beck went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 8th minute, Samuel Groom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Borrowdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ross Albright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jonny Pettifer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ross Albright was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Jonny Pettifer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Albright having to interfere. Trev Davies took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ross Albright. Ross Albright dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Samuel Groom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Browne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Ross Albright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Borrowdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Jude Gibbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Groom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Borrowdale was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Samuel Groom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronan Patton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benjamin Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross Albright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Pettifer in the 66th minute of the match. Ronan Patton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonny Pettifer charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonny Pettifer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Cookham got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Pettifer. In the 70th minute Ronan Patton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Browne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Samuel Groom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stockport FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Cookham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Beck took the corner. After taking down the ball on Stockport FC's corner Frank Beck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamin Browne quite easily take care of the ball. Jonny Pettifer struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ross Albright didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cookham.
