A collision led to Stockport FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Denny Armitage hit a great ball. Ronan Patton struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Stuart Seal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stockport FC. Ronan Patton might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stuart Seal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronan Patton ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel Groom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Samuel Groom fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Stuart Seal, passed just outside the right post. In the 22nd minute, Aaron Wardle made a precise shot to the right of Ross Albright. Stockport FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Aaron Wardle kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Samuel Groom might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stuart Seal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Groom ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Wardle in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ross Albright prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Wardle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Albright having to interfere. Ross Albright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Beale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Groom was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Patton in the 53rd minute of play forced South Benfleet United's goalkeeper Stuart Seal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stockport FC's goalkeeper Ross Albright, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. South Benfleet United's Stuart Seal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Groom in the 57th minute of play. Dylan Holloway hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Ronan Patton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart Seal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Wardle in the 64th minute of play forced Stockport FC's goalkeeper Ross Albright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Dylan Holloway reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ross Albright. The goal made the score 0-2. 72 minutes into the match, South Benfleet United's goal looked a bit too open when Ronan Patton came free, but Stuart Seal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronan Patton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stuart Seal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Dean Houghton kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Frank Beck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calvin Barnfield kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Frank Beck was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Stuart Seal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Groom in the 86th minute of play. When Calvin Barnfield fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Benfleet United's protests and gave Calvin Barnfield a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, South Benfleet United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Barnfield to maneuver through the defense. Stuart Seal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronan Patton in the 91st minute of play. Dylan Holloway got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 92 played minutes South Benfleet United got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Holloway. Ronan Patton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stuart Seal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The South Benfleet United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
