Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frans van Veldhuizen took the kick off in the first half of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Leigh Saxton elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Worthing booed when FC Salajan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Delamore didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th match minute, Worthing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Griggs to maneuver through the defense. Frans van Veldhuizen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Keanu Bayford managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when FC Salajan's Ashley Smith fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Frans van Veldhuizen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Salajan's supporters rose to their feet, but Frans van Veldhuizen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keanu Bayford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Salajan's Mark Forbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher Harper in the 30th minute of play. After 39 played minutes, Worthing's Jonathan Gower shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mark Forbes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Worthing reached it. The supporters of Worthing booed when FC Salajan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Parsons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leigh Saxton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Keanu Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Salajan's Frans van Veldhuizen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keanu Bayford. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Griggs made a kick off. Spike Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Salajan's zone, Gerry Lomas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Forbes came out of the goal and Gerry Lomas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leigh Saxton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Keanu Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, FC Salajan's Frans van Veldhuizen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keanu Bayford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Forbes was a little too slow when Gerry Lomas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 4-1. In the 82nd minute, Leigh Saxton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keanu Bayford was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 86 minutes into the game, Leigh Saxton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Keanu Bayford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerry Lomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Forbes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Salajan's Iain Izzard got a free kick in the 94th minute. Frans van Veldhuizen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Keanu Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
