When Liphook's Dave Harrison in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Ironville booed when Liphook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sacha Woodier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dave Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ronnie Hitchen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ironville's Ronnie Hitchen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Harrison in the 21st minute of play. If Rupert Warden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 24 minutes of play, Liphook's Dave Harrison made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronnie Hitchen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the game, Ironville's Rupert Warden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robbie Copsey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 29 minutes into the match, Liphook's goalkeeper Robbie Copsey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dion Farrell. Ironville's Ronnie Hitchen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Hamilton in the 32nd minute of play. Guy Hamilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Hitchen having to interfere. Ronnie Hitchen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guy Hamilton's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Guy Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Harrison might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronnie Hitchen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Harrison ran back to his position shaking his head. Sacha Woodier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guy Hamilton in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Hitchen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The supporters of Liphook booed when Ironville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Burbeary didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronnie Hitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liphook's Guy Hamilton got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ironville's Ronnie Hitchen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Ironville from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Ironville's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Harrison came free, but Ronnie Hitchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ironville defense, Jake Rawson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronnie Hitchen. The Ironville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronnie Hitchen should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Liphook's Benjamin Mason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronnie Hitchen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antony Amos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antony Amos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Antony Amos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robbie Copsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Warden in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Liphook's Guy Hamilton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronnie Hitchen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Liphook's Jake Rawson in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ironville's goalie prevented a goal. Ronnie Hitchen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jake Rawson went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Guy Hamilton took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronnie Hitchen. Ronnie Hitchen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ironville's goalkeeper Ronnie Hitchen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Woodier in the 96th minute of play forced Ironville's goalkeeper Ronnie Hitchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liphook played a much better game than Ironville and deserved their victory. The Ironville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
