In the 3rd minute of the match, Benjamin Norton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Spike Graydon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aaron Langsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay Grantham in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Vernon Sunderland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nottingham Hotspur's supporters rose to their feet, but Vernon Sunderland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Langsford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to West Wickham FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Olly Robinson hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Jay Grantham put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Langsford. With a little luck, Nottingham Hotspur's Spike Graydon got control of the ball when Graeme Johnstone tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, West Wickham FC's Phil Lomas got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in West Wickham FC's zone, Jay Grantham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Langsford came out of the goal and Jay Grantham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonny Longstaffe scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Langsford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jay Grantham charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jay Grantham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Nottingham Hotspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Grantham to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to West Wickham FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Phil Lomas hit a great ball. After the first half Nottingham Hotspur were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Norton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Spike Graydon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Reeve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jay Grantham in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Langsford saved West Wickham FC from getting behind. Jay Granthams short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Aaron Langsford to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Toby Littlechild sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Norton took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spike Graydon. Spike Graydon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Vernon Sunderland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Langsford having to interfere. If Jay Grantham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Grantham scored 1-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Langsford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes in the game, Vernon Sunderland fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aaron Langsford having to interfere. Jonny Longstaffe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Langsford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Grantham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonny Longstaffe's late challenge caught a West Wickham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonny Longstaffe helped the player get up and apologised. Leon Batty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Spike Graydon. Nottingham Hotspur's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aaron Langsford made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Jay Grantham sent off a good shot on target. Aaron Langsford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jay Grantham's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Harvey Postolan charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Postolan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Nottingham Hotspur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than West Wickham FC throughout the match.
