Stew Clemence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Norton's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Laurence Reeve was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. West Wickham FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aaron Langsford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Scholey, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, West Wickham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Lomas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Fitz Scholey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bakewell United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fitz Scholey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tristram Courtney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tristram Courtney kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Laurence Reeve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stew Clemence having to interfere. Laurence Reeve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Stew Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Tristram Courtney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Langsford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristram Courtney in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Benjamin Norton made the kick off in the second half. Tristram Courtney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aaron Langsford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute of the match, Fitz Scholey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aaron Langsford saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fitz Scholey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Bakewell United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benjamin Norton struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Stew Clemence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Wickham FC. Stew Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Norton, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Norton in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stew Clemence saved Bakewell United from getting behind. If Benjamin Norton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Laurence Reeve notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bakewell United's Stew Clemence. Stew Clemence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th match minute, West Wickham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Hepburn to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Langsford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Scholey in the 83rd minute of play. Fitz Scholey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Laurence Reeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bakewell United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for West Wickham FC.
