He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aylsham AFC reached it. George Kalischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Bannister having to interfere. Aylsham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Terry Tomlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Branston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Aylsham AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ozzy Simpson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 46 minutes into the match, Tring AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ty Fordham came free, but Brian Branston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Terry Tomlin made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Kalischer in the 52nd minute of play forced Aylsham AFC's goalkeeper Alan Bannister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terry Tomlin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brian Branston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aylsham AFC's Charles Morgan got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ozzy Simpson in the 63rd minute of play forced Aylsham AFC's goalkeeper Alan Bannister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ty Fordham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Brian Branston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ozzy Simpson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Aylsham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ozzy Simpson came free, but Alan Bannister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Morgan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute George Kalischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Bannister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Ty Fordham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aylsham AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tring AFC the free kick. After 95 played minutes Aylsham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ty Fordham.
