Vinnie English's late challenge caught a Skipton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinnie English helped the player get up and apologised. 26 minutes into the game, Lloyd Titmus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mossley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skipton AFC the free kick. 25 minutes into the game, one of Mossley United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Devon Bartrup placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 31st minute, Devon Bartrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Mike Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Chambers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Mossley United's goal looked a bit too open when Denzil Booth came free, but Pat Chambers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pat Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denzil Booth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, Mossley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Swift to maneuver through the defense. Skipton AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Devon Bartrup in the 46th minute.

53 minutes into the game, Mossley United's Alastair Cook nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shaun Medlin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Shaun Medlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Partridge in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Alastair Cook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skipton AFC's Shaun Medlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Partridge in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Carl Halford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Devon Bartrup in the 89th minute really tested Pat Chambers's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alastair Cook struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Shaun Medlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mossley United. In the 95thth minute of the game Derek Partridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skipton AFC's Shaun Medlin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dale Pilkington during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Skipton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dale Pilkington.
