Steven Chiverton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruben Beecham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Eric Burrows showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Dickens, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marek Dickens in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Burrows saved Kings Lynn from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Kings Lynn's zone, Dom Sheppard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Burrows came out of the goal and Dom Sheppard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 49th minute, Phillip Metcalfe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

57 minutes into the match, Kings Lynn's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Dickens came free, but Eric Burrows reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Burrows showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Sheppard in the 59th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Alistair Chivers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dom Sheppard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Kings Lynn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Small to maneuver through the defense. Dom Sheppard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kings Lynn's Steven Chiverton got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Chiverton in the 85th minute of play forced Pewsey's goalkeeper Ruben Beecham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pewsey getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Reggie Fitzsymon hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Dom Sheppard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Burrows saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pewsey had won after a very even match.
