Trev Llyod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Beadle's late challenge caught a Uffington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Beadle helped the player get up and apologised. Carl Beadle kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Sidney Boland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trev Llyod, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Tig Tig FC got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Leyburn. In the 19th minute of the match Walter Nicholls shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Boland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tig Tig FC's goalie and right to Zack Mallaby. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tig Tig FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Tommy Elam came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Uffington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Elam couldn't finish the play. Mick Wardell kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Zack Mallaby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uffington and the Tig Tig FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Zack Mallaby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Tommy Elam made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Boland. Tig Tig FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Martyn Boulding took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Dominic Hilton to make any attempt to save it. If Tommy Elam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Elam in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney Boland prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Martyn Boulding made the kick off in the second half. Sidney Boland made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Trev Llyod sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tommy Elam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uffington's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Elam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Boland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tig Tig FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Carl Beadle hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Uffington's Walter Nicholls broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Tig Tig FC defense, Trev Llyod kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Boland. The Tig Tig FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Boland should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tig Tig FC's goalkeeper Sidney Boland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Uffington left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tig Tig FC.
