Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Seth Midgley got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Jeff Ward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7thth minute of the game Freddy Higgins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ossett United's Rob Wing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rhys Fox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Midgley, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Ossett United's Seth Midgley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Johnny Bloom put in a rough tackle. Johnny Bloom hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nigel Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rhys Fox made a huge save. Rhys Fox was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Blair Armitage showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Rhys Fox didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. If Nigel Rundle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rhys Fox made a huge save. Rhys Fox made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jeff Ward sent off a good shot on target.

Ossett United's Rob Wing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Cobb in the 52nd minute of play. Rhys Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Rundle in the 53rd minute of play. Rhys Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Armitage in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute Seth Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandon Cousens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rhys Fox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rhys Fox took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Rundle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Midas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Seth Midgley came free, but Rhys Fox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Midas FC defense, Nigel Rundle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rhys Fox. The Midas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rhys Fox should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute Jeff Ward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rhys Fox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Midgley, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Rhys Fox took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seth Midgley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rhys Fox didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brandon Cousens went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 94 minutes of play, Ossett United's Jeff Ward made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rhys Fox was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ossett United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
