Chorlton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Hudson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duncan Wardill charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duncan Wardill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeremy Bartram kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sean Thorn. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Duncan Wardill hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Calvin Hudson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Thorn having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Calvin Hudson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorlton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Calvin Hudson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Thorn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Hythe FC's Sean Thorn got control of the ball when Jeremy Bartram tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sean Thorn didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chorlton AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
