Darius Brayford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler Armstrong in the 7th minute of play. Kenny Johnston kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Zaq Brindley might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darius Brayford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaq Brindley ran back to his position shaking his head. Broughton Astley United's Darius Brayford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Wakefield in the 26th minute of play. Tyler Armstrong took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darius Brayford. Darius Brayford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Callum Wakefield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Callum Wakefield in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darius Brayford saved Broughton Astley United from getting behind. With a little luck, Curdridge's Al Timiney got control of the ball when Niall Lambert tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Callum Wakefield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Tyler Armstrong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darius Brayford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Al Timiney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Todd in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Callum Wakefield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darius Brayford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Callum Wakefields short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Darius Brayford to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Broughton Astley United's Rod Harrad got a free kick in the 55th minute. Callum Wakefield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Al Timiney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Todd in the 59th minute of play. Rodd Frain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Darius Brayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Curdridge's Callum Wakefield in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Broughton Astley United's goalie prevented a goal. 67 minutes into the game, Curdridge's Tyler Armstrong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darius Brayford made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. A hard shot 74 in the game by Callum Wakefield from a close distance when the talented Darius Brayford managed to make a qualified save. Broughton Astley United's players were relieved. The Broughton Astley United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Curdridge were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
