Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Skegby AFC's Leo Gray started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Harchester United's Alec Gulliver got a free kick in the 5th minute. Shane Wheeler scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jay Devaney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shane Wheeler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Devaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Jay Devaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Gray in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Leo Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Devaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Gray came free, but Jay Devaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alec Gulliver hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes, Skegby AFC's Loyd Jenas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jay Devaney came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skegby AFC reached it. In the 34th play minute Shane Wheeler came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jay Devaney. 2-0. Leo Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Devaney having to interfere. Dean Fordham hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Leo Gray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skegby AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Gray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute Leo Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Devaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leo Gray came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Skegby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Gray couldn't finish the play. Leo Gray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Devaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kenny Bullard to make the kick off. Tim Margarson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Adamson went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jay Devaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Gray in the 61st minute of the match. Tim Margarson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Bullard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Adamson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Margarson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Skegby AFC's Damian Hayward got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Gray came free, but Jay Devaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harchester United's Jay Devaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Wheeler in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Skegby AFC booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alec Gulliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91stth minute of the game Kenny Bullard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skegby AFC's Tim Margarson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leo Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jay Devaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Hayward, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Leo Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Devaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skegby AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Harchester United for a fine match.
