Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ben Crouch took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Ben Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keiran Peake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ben Crouch might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keiran Peake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ben Crouch ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sid Kirk during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sid Kirk kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Timothy Howden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Littlechild fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keiran Peake having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timothy Howden got free with Rory Brough in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wareham's goalkeeper Keiran Peake, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ben Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Keiran Peake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnny Newell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lynton United's Rory Brough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Newell in the 23rd minute of play. Timothy Howden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 played minutes Wareham got a freekick which was hit by Denis Deakin. Rhys Teague didn't quite understand what happened when in the 32 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Wareham's Keiran Peake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Crouch in the 39th minute of play. Rory Brough made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Timothy Howden sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Johnny Newell made the kick off in the second half. If Ben Crouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Crouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keiran Peake having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Wareham got a freekick which was hit by Fred Button. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Newell in the 69th minute of play forced Lynton United's goalkeeper Rory Brough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wareham's Walter Inman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sid Kirk in the 84 minute of the game. Timothy Howden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Wareham's Keiran Peake got control of the ball when Ben Crouch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ben Crouch struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Keiran Peake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lynton United. Lynton United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Wareham's much stronger midfield.
