Gav Hartson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Isle Of Dogs FC. Crispin Starr stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tim Bowen. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Brady in the 8th minute of play forced Chorlton's goalkeeper Tim Bowen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spike Vickers hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Philip Blake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Lofthouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tim Bowen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18th play minutes David Lofthouse shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Tim Bowen and just under the crossbar into goal. Tim Bowen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Brady in the 26th minute of play. Tim Bowen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Brady in the 34th minute of the match. If David Lofthouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Isle Of Dogs FC's Bart Brady ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tim Bowen. Tim Bowen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0.

John Paul Flower sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chorlton's Tim Bowen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Lofthouse in the 53rd minute of play. David Lofthouse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 5-0 when David Lofthouse sped through Chorlton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tim Bowen. John Paul Flower received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Trevor Postolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes, Isle Of Dogs FC's Joe Notley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tim Bowen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Isle Of Dogs FC reached it. Bart Brady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Philip Blake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don Lomas hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Bart Brady received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
