Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abraham Speed kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Simon Sutcliffe notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Birstall Bombers's Darryl McGovern. Darryl McGovern was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abraham Speed came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Garth Jenkins could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Pickard in the 9th minute of play forced Birstall Bombers's goalkeeper Darryl McGovern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stu Henwood kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bingley City's Basil Etherington got a free kick in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Birstall Bombers's Derek Wybrow got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Birstall Bombers booed when Bingley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Sutcliffe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austen Parks struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Garth Jenkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birstall Bombers. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Austen Parks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birstall Bombers's supporters rose to their feet, but Austen Parks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garth Jenkins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dylan Leslie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Birstall Bombers's Abraham Speed got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darryl McGovern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Leslie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Austen Parks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bingley City's Garth Jenkins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Speed in the 64th minute of play. When Lawrence Mills fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birstall Bombers's protests and gave Lawrence Mills a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Lawrence Mills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derek Wybrow kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylan Leslie in the 74th minute of play forced Birstall Bombers's goalkeeper Darryl McGovern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Birstall Bombers's Stu Henwood got a free kick in the 76th minute. Glyn Brooke hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the game, Rowan Brewer landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Austen Parks fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birstall Bombers's protests and gave Austen Parks a yellow card for diving instead. Basil Etherington charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basil Etherington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Austen Parks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garth Jenkins having to interfere. Garth Jenkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Speed in the 94th minute of play. Bingley City were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Birstall Bombers's much stronger midfield.
