Spectators: 1730 (Terracing: 0, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John-Paul Briggs started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jamie Etherington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambleside City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Etherington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Miles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zack Osbourn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnnie Straker having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ambleside City's John-Paul Briggs in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ian Miles was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Moseley through an amazing save. Zack Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If John-Paul Briggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Moseley's goalkeeper Ian Miles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jamie Etherington. In the 22nd minute Todd Greenfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Straker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Moseley got a corner. Ambleside City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Foley ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Stefan Foley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Johnnie Straker quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Zack Osbourn came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Moseley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zack Osbourn couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, one of Moseley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Moseley. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Ambleside City's Ollie Branston got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ian Miles. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ambleside City's goalkeeper Johnnie Straker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johnnie Straker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Greenfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Moseley's Ian Miles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Moseley from getting a goal against them. After 42 played minutes Moseley got a freekick which was hit by Michael Hall. Zack Osbourn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Johnnie Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zack Osbourn was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rich Argent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Miles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Todd Greenfield's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Johnnie Straker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jeffrey Elliot kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ian Miles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John-Paul Briggs's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Todd Greenfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Johnnie Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zack Osbourn in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnnie Straker saved Ambleside City from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Todd Greenfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rich Argent kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Moseley got a corner. Ambleside City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Foley ran over to the corner to take the kick. Stefan Foley made a great header on Moseley's corner, it was just that Ambleside City's Johnnie Straker managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ambleside City had won after a very even match.
