Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mitch Shepherd kicked off to start the match. Stephen Grantham came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Bracebrige Heath FC's Shane Gibbons. But to his dismay, Shane Gibbons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Blackheath City's goal looked a bit too open when Orson Cooke came free, but Stephen Grantham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Orson Cooke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Stephen Grantham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orson Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Grantham having to interfere. Mitch Shepherd struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ivan Everard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackheath City. 23 minutes into the match, Blackheath City's Tyler Norman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Everard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Tyler Norman came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Blackheath City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Norman couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Shane Gibbons had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stephen Grantham. Blackheath City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shane Gibbons was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Stephen Grantham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Dewhirst in the 34th minute of play. Blackheath City's Stephen Grantham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Gibbons in the 37th minute of play. Tyler Norman struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ivan Everard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shane Gibbons to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Shane Gibbons suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Justin Tinker's late challenge caught a Bracebrige Heath FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin Tinker helped the player get up and apologised. Bracebrige Heath FC made a substitution. Adrian Thompson replaced Shane Gibbons. Justin Tinker hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Blackheath City's Stephen Grantham got control of the ball when Noel Sheene tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mitch Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Thackray got free with Stephen Grantham in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orson Cooke came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stephen Grantham could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Thackray got free with Stephen Grantham in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Thompson in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stephen Grantham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 82nd minute, Bracebrige Heath FC's Stefan Thackray ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stephen Grantham. Stephen Grantham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Noel Sheene took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stephen Grantham. Blackheath City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ivan Everard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyler Norman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Tyler Norman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Everard having to interfere. Bracebrige Heath FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
