A very good chance. Sandown City's Jon Noble was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Lance Partridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Noble, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Zackary Hargreaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lance Partridge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Tyrone Beardsley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Simeon Hopgood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lennie Burns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sean Bagshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandown City's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Bagshaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Partridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ludlow's Ivor Marston got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Tyrone Beardsley fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ludlow's protests and gave Tyrone Beardsley a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sandown City booed when Ludlow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Beardsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon Noble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Noble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Partridge having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Zackary Hargreaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Zackary Hargreaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Lance Partridge successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lance Partridge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zackary Hargreaves in the 41st minute. Simeon Hopgood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivor Marston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mike Watts to make the kick off. If Jon Noble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mike Watts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simeon Hopgood was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Jon Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Jon Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandown City's attentive Sean Bagshaw managed to snatch the ball when Franz Booth made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. Lance Partridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennie Burns in the 65th minute of the match. Simeon Hopgood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic West, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Sandown City's goalkeeper Simeon Hopgood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivor Marston. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Watts in the 73rd minute of play forced Sandown City's goalkeeper Simeon Hopgood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Sandown City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Bagshaw to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ludlow's Tyrone Beardsley got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Bagshaw came free, but Lance Partridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Zackary Hargreaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandown City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zackary Hargreaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Zackary Hargreaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Zackary Hargreaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandown City's Zackary Hargreaves got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lennie Burns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Partridge having to interfere. Lance Partridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennie Burns in the 93rd minute of play. Sean Bagshaw took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lance Partridge. Lance Partridge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sandown City had played much better football throughout.
