Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Mike Watts made the kick off and thus started the match. If Zackary Hargreaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyrone Beardsley hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes Ludlow's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bob Sheppard who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Jon Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Jon Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mike Watts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Hopgood having to interfere. Tyrone Beardsley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandown City's Simeon Hopgood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sandown City from getting a goal against them. Sandown City's Zackary Hargreaves got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Jon Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Jon Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lance Partridge came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sandown City's Zackary Hargreaves. But to his dismay, Zackary Hargreaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 36th minute Sean Bagshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Partridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sean Bagshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Noble in the 42nd minute of play forced Ludlow's goalkeeper Lance Partridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Partridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zackary Hargreaves in the 43rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Bagshaw in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Partridge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jon Noble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ludlow players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sandown City were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jon Noble was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jon Noble got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lance Partridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Noble in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Noble came free, but Lance Partridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Sean Bagshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandown City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Bagshaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sean Bagshaw hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Lennie Burns in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lance Partridge, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Simeon Hopgood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Watts in the 65th minute of play. Ludlow's Lance Partridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ludlow from getting a goal against them. Simeon Hopgood didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vic West went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Sean Bagshaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Jon Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Partridge came out of the goal and Jon Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. When Sandown City's Lennie Burns in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ludlow's goalie prevented a goal. Simeon Hopgood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivor Marston in the 82nd minute of play. Tyrone Beardsley kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ludlow's Lance Partridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Ludlow from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Zackary Hargreaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sandown City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jon Noble managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandown City's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Noble was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Partridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandown City's Sean Bagshaw got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goalkeeper Lance Partridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zackary Hargreaves. The Ludlow fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sandown City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
