After having played for 13 minutes, Tim Mitchell-King managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Romney United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Mitchell-King was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barnetby Le Wold United's Victor Howarth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Mitchell-King in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of New Romney United booed when Barnetby Le Wold United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Worth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robbie Walsh during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Will Kalischer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Cordingley was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Barnetby Le Wold United's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Slator came free, but Victor Howarth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Will Kalischer took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeff Cordingley. Jeff Cordingley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grant Slator during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Barnetby Le Wold United's Will Kalischer in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Romney United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute Grant Slator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Howarth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Todd Crossley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Cordingley having to interfere. Will Kalischer struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jeff Cordingley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnetby Le Wold United. In the 73rd minute of the match Robbie Walsh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Howarth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Grant Slator's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Howarth was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. New Romney United's Jeff Cordingley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save New Romney United from getting a goal against them. Will Kalischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Cordingley having to interfere. David Bolton hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Will Kalischer in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeff Cordingley saved New Romney United from getting behind. In the 94thth minute of the game Will Kalischer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Romney United's Jeff Cordingley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New Romney United's zone, Todd Crossley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Cordingley came out of the goal and Todd Crossley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
