When John-Paul Hamer came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Blackfen fans jumped to their feet. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tod Stride to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Blackfen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Beesley to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Workington booed when Blackfen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Beesley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jay Hogg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Sebastien Dunlop was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
