Lloyd Haskell helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Crookes's Stefan Waddington got control of the ball when Howard Mulford tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 played minutes Crookes got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd Haskell. After having played for 20 minutes, Howard Mulford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cricklewood FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Howard Mulford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Crookes's Stefan Waddington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Crookes from getting a goal against them. Jonny Partridge's late challenge caught a Cricklewood FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonny Partridge helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Paddy Biernat rounded Crookes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Cricklewood FC's Paddy Biernat got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Howard Mulford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Cricklewood FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 81 minutes into the match, Crookes's goal looked a bit too open when Howard Mulford came free, but Stefan Waddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Crookes's zone, Howard Mulford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Waddington came out of the goal and Howard Mulford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mattias Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Afful received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Josh Philpott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Afful sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
