Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Gavin Driver started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Harborne's Chesney Blower got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute, Alfie Welsh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Catchgate's Alfie Welsh in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harborne's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Harborne's zone, Hayden Younger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Horn came out of the goal and Hayden Younger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Alfie Welsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Horn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Armstrong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavin Driver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Alfie Welsh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catchgate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfie Welsh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Catchgate's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Coote came free, but Kristian Armstrong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Jackson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Alfie Welsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catchgate's Kristian Armstrong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Nicholson in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alfie Welsh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barney Horn was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Catchgate defense, Kevin Beadle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristian Armstrong. The Catchgate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristian Armstrong should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfie Welsh made a kick off. If Alfie Welsh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 52 minutes, Howard Nancy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catchgate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Howard Nancy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jools Pennant kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Catchgate's Hayden Younger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Barney Horn but with some difficulty. Catchgate's Alfie Welsh got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jo Renner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Horn having to interfere. Hayden Younger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcolm Farrell's late challenge caught a Catchgate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malcolm Farrell helped the player get up and apologised. Alfie Welsh in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barney Horn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kristian Armstrong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Nicholson in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Harborne's Barney Horn got control of the ball when Alfie Welsh tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Hayden Younger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Barney Horn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Alfie Welsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Horn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayden Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Horn having to interfere. Alfie Welsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Barney Horn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Harborne's zone, Alfie Welsh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Horn came out of the goal and Alfie Welsh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Howard Nancy got free with Barney Horn in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 minutes of play, Harborne's Joshua Coote made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Armstrong was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Nial Whitford came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Catchgate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nial Whitford couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 89 in the game by Alfie Welsh from a close distance when the talented Barney Horn managed to make a qualified save. Harborne's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Hayden Younger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catchgate's supporters rose to their feet, but Hayden Younger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Horn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfie Welsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Horn having to interfere. Alfie Welsh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barney Horn having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hayden Younger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catchgate's supporters rose to their feet, but Hayden Younger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Horn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Harborne support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
