Jamie Nash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 方响风 in the 13th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Lichfield:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lethal Town FC:s goal. When 方响风 came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Lethal Town FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 方响风 couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Chivers in the 22nd minute of play forced Lichfield's goalkeeper Jamie Nash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jamie Nash managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Lethal Town FC's 方响风 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Crispin Ginn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leigh Homes in the 24th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Lethal Town FC got a freekick which was hit by Kev Reynolds. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vernon Cahill during the 32nd minute. If Leigh Homes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Lichfield's goal looked a bit too open when 方响风 came free, but Jamie Nash reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Daryl Calder hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Shane Chivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, Lethal Town FC's 方响风 made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jamie Nash was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, 方响风 put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jamie Nash. The Lichfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamie Nash should have stopped the shot. In the 80th match minute, Lethal Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Reynolds to maneuver through the defense. Lichfield's Jamie Nash played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 方响风 in the 84th minute of play. The audience was convinced that 方响风's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamie Nash was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Kev Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Garry Munday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lethal Town FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
