Brynn Rawson's late challenge caught a Bletchingley City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brynn Rawson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bletchingley City booed when Cirencester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brynn Rawson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kelvin Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Carlick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bletchingley City's Steve Forrester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Aiston in the 37th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teddy Carlick to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Tim Whitmore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teddy Carlick in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kelvin Brennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Keith Aiston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Steve Forrester made a huge save. Kelvin Brennan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bletchingley City's Tim Whitmore shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Keith Aiston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cirencester United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
