Hot Shots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neon Nemesis the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Alfie Dexter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwyn La Forte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Wootton, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With his leg Gwyn La Forte managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Hot Shots's Kyle Wootton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 12 minutes of play, Neon Nemesis's Vince Beerman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Will Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Hot Shots's Terry Lambourne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gwyn La Forte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Hot Shots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Verity to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd play minute Terry Lambourne came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gwyn La Forte. 1-1. Gwyn La Forte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Wootton in the 29th minute of play. A hard shot 33 in the game by Terry Lambourne from a close distance when the talented Gwyn La Forte managed to make a qualified save. Neon Nemesis's players were relieved. Gwyn La Forte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Wootton's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Richie Larham's late challenge caught a Neon Nemesis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richie Larham helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hot Shots fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Neon Nemesis a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ken Neville, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hot Shots's Will Santos. 1-2. After 44th play minutes Terry Lambourne shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Gwyn La Forte and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jamal Keyworth to strike the kick off in the second half. Terry Lambourne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwyn La Forte having to interfere. After some careless play in the Neon Nemesis defense, Terry Lambourne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwyn La Forte. The Neon Nemesis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwyn La Forte should have stopped the shot. The Hot Shots fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Hot Shots's Kyle Wootton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Hot Shots's Brian Verity got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Hot Shots's Terry Lambourne in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neon Nemesis's goalie prevented a goal. After 77 minutes, Alfonso Leggeri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hot Shots and the Neon Nemesis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hot Shots! Will Santos had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Ken Neville's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Will Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ken Neville went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. When Brian Verity fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hot Shots's protests and gave Brian Verity a yellow card for diving instead. Brian Verity kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Alfie Dexter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hot Shots's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfie Dexter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwyn La Forte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jamal Keyworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Will Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hot Shots's Terry Lambourne in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neon Nemesis's goalie prevented a goal. If Kyle Wootton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Terry Lambourne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwyn La Forte. Neon Nemesis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Terry Lambourne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-3. 99 minutes into the match, Neon Nemesis's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Wootton came free, but Gwyn La Forte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hot Shots's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
