Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Quintan Gene got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Paulus Liebich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eastwood Foresters FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheffield the free kick. Paulus Liebich hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Eastwood Foresters FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Smitt to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Eastwood Foresters FC's Quintan Gene slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charlie Jones. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. If Quintan Gene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Gavin Carey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintan Gene in the 33rd minute of play forced Sheffield's goalkeeper Charlie Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sheffield's Charlie Jones got control of the ball when Quintan Gene tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mike Stobbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodor Cvetanovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eastwood Foresters FC's Quintan Gene in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sheffield's goalie prevented a goal. Charlie Jones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintan Gene in the 45th minute of the match. Fausto Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Butterfield in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Quintan Gene might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charlie Jones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintan Gene ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quintan Gene in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlie Jones saved Sheffield from getting behind. Sheffield's Charlie Jones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Stobbs in the 59th minute of play. Phil Preston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Fausto Matos made a huge save. Eastwood Foresters FC's Quintan Gene got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlie Jones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintan Gene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steven Woodhall hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Fausto Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Carey in the 79th minute of play. If Fred Paley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Abelardo Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Marsden during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Eastwood Foresters FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Roy Marsden hit a great ball. Eastwood Foresters FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sheffield for a fine match.
