Clive Couch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham Stevens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Graham Stevens notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Walney Blues's Clive Couch. Clive Couch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radway City's Callum Rathmell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Beresford in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Radway City's goal looked a bit too open when Will Bator came free, but Callum Rathmell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Coe got free with Callum Rathmell in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Callum Rathmell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Bator, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Will Bator took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Callum Rathmell to make any attempt to save it. Antony Coe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Callum Rathmell made a huge save. Will Bator blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Callum Rathmell having to make a save. Felix Price's late challenge caught a Radway City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Price helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Walney Blues's Felix Price got a free kick in the 34th minute. Graham Stevens struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Clive Couch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Radway City. After 37 played minutes Walney Blues got a freekick which was hit by Antony Coe. Callum Rathmell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonathan Goodfellow showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play. The long shot by Karl Taylor in the 43rd minute really tested Callum Rathmell's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Radway City's Callum Rathmell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Will Bator in the 44th minute of play. Callum Rathmell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Bator in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Graham Stevens to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Radway City's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Coe came free, but Callum Rathmell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Antony Coe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walney Blues fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Graham Stevens's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Clive Couch skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Rich Ashford fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walney Blues's protests and gave Rich Ashford a yellow card for diving instead. Rich Ashford kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Garry Beresford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Callum Rathmell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the game Karl Taylor made a throw-in which Will Bator played forward. 75 minutes into the game, Walney Blues's Jonathan Goodfellow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Callum Rathmell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Callum Rathmell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Goodfellow in the 79th minute of play. Callum Rathmell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garry Beresford, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Will Bator had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Callum Rathmell. Radway City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Will Bator was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Antony Coe took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Callum Rathmell. Callum Rathmell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Walney Blues were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Radway City for a fine match.
