The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dennis Fisher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Bridgeworth in the 12th minute of the match. Dennis Fisher came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Uttoxeter's Garry Thackray. But to his dismay, Garry Thackray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, KingsBridge's Iain Almond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Dodd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Uttoxeter's Christian Dodd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Uttoxeter from getting a goal against them. After having played for 23 minutes, Brandon Coulson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KingsBridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brandon Coulson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dennis Fisher came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Uttoxeter's Garry Thackray. But to his dismay, Garry Thackray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Barron in the 30th minute of play forced KingsBridge's goalkeeper Dennis Fisher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Austin Crawshaw cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Christian Dodd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Iain Almond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Austin Crawshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KingsBridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Austin Crawshaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Will Fleetham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Austin Crawshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Dodd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes, Matthew Power mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KingsBridge and the Uttoxeter players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, one of KingsBridge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KingsBridge. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garry Thackray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Will Fleetham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Christian Dodd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iain Almond in the 72nd minute of play forced Uttoxeter's goalkeeper Christian Dodd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iain Almond came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the KingsBridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iain Almond couldn't finish the play. Garry Thackray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Fisher having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Brandon Coulson managed to get in a good position for a shot. KingsBridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Brandon Coulson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Dodd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iain Almond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Dodd having to interfere. After 98 minutes, Mattias Everard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uttoxeter and the KingsBridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. KingsBridge made a substitution. Victor Gray replaced Iain Almond. Mattias Everard kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. 101 minutes into the match, KingsBridge's Brandon Coulson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. There was no doubt that KingsBridge were the better team. KingsBridge's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
