Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Frank Morgan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Carlton Woolford lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Crawley:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hendon:s goal. Marco D'Angelo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 7 played minutes Crawley got a freekick which was hit by Leroy Joynes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco D'Angelo in the 8th minute of play forced Crawley's goalkeeper Alastair Faith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gav Lineker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Faith having to interfere. Alastair Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco D'Angelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Gav Lineker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alastair Faith. Crawley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gav Lineker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 16th minute when Gav Lineker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Martin Schreuder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hendon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crawley the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Gav Lineker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Damian Hurst fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crawley's protests and gave Damian Hurst a yellow card for diving instead. Damian Hurst hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Alastair Faith stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gav Lineker's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Alastair Faith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco D'Angelo in the 31st minute of the match. Gav Lineker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Faith having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gav Lineker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alastair Faith was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Alastair Faith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Lineker, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sven-Åke Snell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Hendon's goal looked a bit too open when Gav Shipton came free, but Leo Mahon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jens-Erik Falkrantz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hendon's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Erik Falkrantz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alastair Faith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gav Lineker succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Gav Lineker took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alastair Faith. Alastair Faith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Alastair Faith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gav Lineker in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Crawley's Damian Hurst got a free kick in the 63rd minute. During the 66th minute of the match Martin Schreuder completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Martin Schreuder a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gav Lineker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marco D'Angelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Hendon's Gav Lineker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 78th minute, Gav Lineker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hendon's Marty Rowland was substituted for Sven-Åke Snell. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Crawley's goalkeeper Alastair Faith, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
