Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gav Lineker got the match started through his kick off. Gav Lineker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Chesney Blackley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Mahon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaq Afful in the 6th minute of play. After 9th play minutes Gav Lineker shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Chesney Blackley and just under the crossbar into goal. Hendon's Leo Mahon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Hendon from getting a goal against them. Gav Lineker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Chesney Blackley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Erik Falkrantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chesney Blackley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Lineker, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Chesney Blackley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gav Lineker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Jens-Erik Falkrantz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chesney Blackley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Falkrantz in the 29th minute of play forced Wimbledon's goalkeeper Chesney Blackley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chesney Blackley came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Hendon's Gav Lineker. But to his dismay, Gav Lineker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 34 minutes into the game, Billy Scriven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wimbledon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hendon the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Wimbledon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Scriven to maneuver through the defense. Chesney Blackley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Snell in the 37th minute of play. Chesney Blackley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gav Lineker in the 38th minute of play. Sven-Åke Snell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Falkrantz in the 42nd minute of play forced Wimbledon's goalkeeper Chesney Blackley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wimbledon's Chesney Blackley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Lineker in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Gav Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chesney Blackley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Åke Snell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cliff Caton to strike the kick off in the second half. Stewart Brumfitt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hendon's Leo Mahon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Ealham in the 55th minute of play. Gav Lineker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Åke Snell was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Leo Mahon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Ealham's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Chesney Blackley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gav Lineker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chesney Blackley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Lineker, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Wimbledon's goal looked a bit too open when Gav Lineker came free, but Chesney Blackley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Snell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chesney Blackley having to interfere. Hendon's Marty Rowland was substituted for Sven-Åke Snell. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon's Danny Reid got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Wimbledon got a freekick which was hit by Danny Reid. 0-3 became the score in the 83rd minute when Gav Lineker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 86th minute Gav Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chesney Blackley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gav Lineker in the 88th minute of play forced Wimbledon's goalkeeper Chesney Blackley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Rowland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Schreuder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hendon's Jens-Erik Falkrantz pulled a muscle in his leg after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Danny Reid charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Reid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hendon's Russell Turner was substituted for Jens-Erik Falkrantz. After 95 played minutes Wimbledon got a freekick which was hit by Danny Reid. Hendon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
