But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Gulliver couldn't finish the play. Shaun Smart succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. Carl Poynton hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Victoria United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Sweeney came free, but Tony Tetley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Sean Gulliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coleford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Gulliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coleford's Antony Bambrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Poynton in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Shaun Smart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antony Bambrook. Coleford's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shaun Smart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Coleford's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Carl Poynton scored to the left of an out of position Antony Bambrook, making the score, 4-0. Coleford's Antony Bambrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Poynton in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Byron Hudson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coleford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victoria United FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Coleford's Byron Hudson got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carl Poynton to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Carl Poynton put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Antony Bambrook. Antony Bambrook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Smart, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of Victoria United FC booed when Coleford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camron Whittaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coleford's Antony Bambrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Poynton in the 60th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Coleford got a freekick which was hit by Howard Parks. Antony Bambrook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Smart, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Antony Bambrook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun Smart in the 78th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Coleford got a freekick which was hit by Camron Whittaker. After 84 minutes, Ted Davey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Victoria United FC and the Coleford players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes Victoria United FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Davey. Shaun Smart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Antony Bambrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Carl Poynton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antony Bambrook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Shaun Smart made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Coleford's Antony Bambrook tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
