After 9 played minutes Comberton City got a freekick which was hit by Loyd Shields. After 10 played minutes, Tunbridge Wells's Frank Flower shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Seb Daly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tunbridge Wells reached it. Loyd Shields might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Turnbull. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loyd Shields ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Matthew Unsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tunbridge Wells's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthew Unsworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seb Daly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loyd Shields kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Joseph Waller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tunbridge Wells and the Comberton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seb Daly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Brayson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comberton City's Seb Daly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Brayson in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
