The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denny Braithwaite during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Barking got a freekick which was hit by Denny Braithwaite. After 11 played minutes, Durham City's Zackary Miller shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Liam Cambridge came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Durham City reached it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristian Hardwick was the one to do the kick off. Liam Cambridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Hardwick in the 53rd minute of play. Shane Pope didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wally Wise went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 69 minutes of play, Durham City's Kristian Hardwick made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liam Cambridge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sean Haper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wally Wise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barking's Liam Cambridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Hardwick in the 86th minute of play. Liam Cambridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sean Haper's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sean Haper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durham City's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Haper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Cambridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Durham City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barking had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
