In the 45th minute Brad Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Seaward stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nottinghams Finest FC. Harringay City's Leon Hinshelwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chaz Shakespeare in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Harringay City booed when Nottinghams Finest FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Horn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nottinghams Finest FC's Enrique de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Nottinghams Finest FC from getting a goal against them. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Seaward couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Harringay City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nottinghams Finest FC throughout the match.
