When Ollie Markinson fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapel en le frith's protests and gave Ollie Markinson a yellow card for diving instead. Ollie Markinson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Dale Beresford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Hassell in the 12th minute of play. Joshua Laycock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Denham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chapel en le frith's Simon Beale got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Rupert Hassell came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Harlesden AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rupert Hassell couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Harlesden AFC's Oscar Howden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dale Beresford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marek Denham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Laycock having to interfere. Paul Whieldon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Denham made a kick off. Rupert Hassell might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dale Beresford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rupert Hassell ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Sollit's late challenge caught a Chapel en le frith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Sollit helped the player get up and apologised. Martyn Wiltshire walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Martyn Wiltshire took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joshua Laycock. Joshua Laycock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Chapel en le frith's Paul Whieldon got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Purkiss during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chapel en le frith getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Trey Hanson hit a great ball. Marek Denham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joshua Laycock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Oscar Howden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dale Beresford was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dale Beresford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Hassell, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Martyn Wiltshire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chapel en le frith's Dale Beresford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Hassell in the 89th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Harlesden AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
